Gregory Reed, M.D.

Doctor

Dr. Gregory Reed grew up on the South Shore of Long Island. Dr. Reed attended college at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Biology, after which he received his M.D. degree from Chicago Medical School. Following four cold winters in Chicago, Dr. Reed relocated to Miami to begin his career. With limited free time as an intern, Dr. Reed looked to take advantage of Miami’s sunny weather and his sport of choice, tennis.

Dr. Reed completed his residency in Internal Medicine from the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then joined a four-man practice in Miami Springs in 1977 and later expanded to the Miami Lakes area, having hospital privileges at Palmetto General and Hialeah Hospital.

Dr. Reed has been married to his high school sweetheart, Joan, for over fifty years. They have two daughters and five grandchildren. Continuing the family tradition as a third-generation physician, his daughter is a pediatric endocrinologist in San Francisco. Outside of the office, Dr. Reed is a Medical Director of a boxing organization, the IBO (International Boxing Organization). He also enjoys horseback riding, tennis and spending time with his family.

Diana Sabogal

MPAS, PA-C, MBA

Diana Sabogal is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Internal Medicine. She received her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Economics as well as her Master’s in Business Administration from Florida International University. Diana completed her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. Diana is committed to improving the health and quality of life of her patients through disease prevention and health promotion, and takes special interest in the management of complex care patients.

In her free time, Diana enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling and experiencing new cultures. She enjoys spending time outdoors running, biking, and paddle boarding while enjoying South Florida’s beautiful weather.

Angie Faux

Administrator

Angie has worked alongside Dr. Reed for the last 30 years. As the office Administrator, she manages all day-to-day operations of the practice. Angie ensures that the proper patient care is met daily by all her staff.

Angie and her significant other for 30 plus years have two grown children, a 22-year-old daughter who is an artist and a 17-year-old son who plays football for Barbara Goleman Highschool. When Angie is not working, she loves to travel and mostly takes “runcations” with a group called Marathon Expeditions. Angie loves to go hiking, spend time with her family and enjoys visiting her best friend in Texas.

Yaslin Ruiz

Medical Assistant

Yaslin is new to Dr. Reed’s team with over 6 years of experience as a Medical Assistant. She assists Dr. Reed with their patient’s vitals, handles all EKG’s and X-rays, but most importantly, she has mastered the art of phlebotomy, “aka drawing blood.” Yaslin is also responsible for preparing and packing her blood samples with the lab and making sure all her patients receive their medications.

Yaslin loves her job, but when she is not in the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her five-year-old daughter. They love to travel and spend time at the beach.

Ingrid Chavez

Patient Care Coordinator

Ingrid is new to the team but brings over two years of customer service experience to Dr. Reed’s office. As a Patient Care Coordinator, Ingrid is the first person the patients see when they arrive to the office. In addition to dealing with patients in person and being the one to call all patients via phone, she serves as the liaison between her office and the hospitals and specialists. She is responsible for processing their insurance information, obtaining medical records when needed and making sure their medications are requested and filled. Ingrid is also fully certified in CPR, Phlebotomy and as a Home Health Aide.

 

Even though Ingrid is not yet married, she would love to have a big family. When she is not busy working, Ingrid enjoys listening to music and going to the movies. She is a lover of a photography and “all things artsy”. Ingrid loves traveling to Tampa and Orlando often to visit family, while being able to go to Disney.
